Visio 2010 and 2013 both provide an 'infinite canvas'. As shapes are placed outside the page boundaries, new pages are automatically inserted to expand the drawing canvas. Similarly, if these shapes are removed, extra pages are automatically deleted to reduce the drawing canvas size accordingly.
To increase the drawing canvas in Visio 2007, 2010, or 2013; hold down the CTRL key and place the cursor over the edge of the drawing canvas. Notice, the cursor will change appearance to look like a double-sided arrow. ↔ While continuing to hold the CTRL key and left mouse button, drag the edge of the canvas to increase or decrease the size as desired.
The page design properties may also be edited by clicking the Page Setup on the Design tab of the Visio 2010 or 2013 ribbon. This will launch the Page Setup dialog where page size and drawing scale can be edited.
NOTE: In Visio 2007, the Page Setup dialog is accessed through the Visio File menu. File à Page Setup.
